    Saturday, April 20, 10:00 am - 12:30 pm
Easter Seals School and Center for Autism Research
    1939 West 13th Street, Chicago

This month's meeting will be devoted to a review of the April 6th "Spring Fling" Resource Fair and planning for CAC's participation in the May 19 "Walk Now for Autism" at Soldier Field.  Spring Fling attendees will be asked to share their most significant "takeaways" from the twelve workshops and twenty-nine exhibitors.

Incidentally, for those of you who attended the Spring Fling but have not responded to the email survey (or who did not receive the survey), the following link will take you to the survey site:  http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W88C75G  It is important for CAC to receive your feedback so that we can continue to improve this well-attended event.

Additionally, we have a limited number of scholarships for family members to attend the Illinois Includes Inclusion Conference on Thursday and Friday, May 9th and 10th at the Chicago Marriott Oak Brook.  Each scholarship includes a free hotel room for Thursday night.  See the included attachment for the conference description.

•Free parking lot; enter on Hastings Street, one block south of 13th Street.
•Please enter from the parking lot; the door facing 13th Street is kept locked.
•Registration for the meeting is not required (except respite care, see below).

RESPITE CARE
Free respite care for children with autism is provided by professionally trained staff.  However, ADVANCE RESERVATIONS are required.  Send your request to pebutler@chicagoautism.org by Friday, April 19. Include your name and the name and age of your loved one with autism.  We regret that non-disabled siblings can not be accommodated (but all kids are welcome to come to the adult meeting as long as they are supervised). These rules are necessary due to the large demand for the free respite care service. We limit respite care size to 20 kids to ensure safety and personalized care.
